I’m a Celebrity 2018: Is Harry Redknapp a contender for Christmas No.1 with song in honour of wife Sandra?
Christmas No.1 is something that singers and musicians are desperate to get but are we seeing a shock contender for the crown emerge before our eyes?In last night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Herecamp favourite Harry Redknapp showed that he could buck the trend of the music establishment in 2018.

He belted out the classic ‘‘I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside’with John Barrowman earlier in the series but it seems Harry is taking this hobby of his one step further. The former Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton and Tottenham boss was spitting bars (music talk for brainstorming ideas) with X Factor finalist Fleur East about a song he could release after leaving the jungle. It was then when Fleur suggested he dropped a tune in honour of his wife and one of the lines could be “Got a peng ting called Sandra”.Inevitably, Harry, 71, needed to have it explained to him what the term “peng ting” meant.Harry would make the song about his wife Sandra, of course2
Harry would make the song about his wife Sandra, of course
Basically, it’s a way of describing someone (usually a woman) who’s attractive, I think. And after Harry learnt what it meant he said to Fleur and actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who was in on it by then, that his wife would probably think he’s saying “I’ve got a painting called Sandra”!Fleur even gave Harry a stage name: MC Hazza!Needless to say, the thought of Harry releasing sent Twitter into a frenzy. Below you can see some of the best tweets from these fans.Elsewhere, Harry was in mischievous mood when he started getting the fellow celebs to bet on how The Chase‘s Anne Hegerty would perform in her Bushtucker Trial. At first this seemed a bit mean given the fact she only won two meals in her individual trial last week but Harry and the likes of Rita Simons and Nick Knowles were guessing relatively high numbers. And to Anne’s credit she managed to win seven out of a possible eleven meals for camp – a total that Rita guessed correctly. However, Harry insisted the only thing at stake for the bet was jam roly-poly’s which we have established is a food Harry loves. But still, a loss he would have to give away with a heavy heart!Harry is one of the favourites to win this series of I’m a Celeb2
